What is RMR?

RMR stands for Resting Metabolic Rate, which is the amount of energy (calories) your body needs to perform basic functions such as breathing, digesting food, and circulating blood. It is an important factor in determining your overall health and fitness level, as it can help you understand how many calories you need to consume in order to maintain your weight.

What is RMR Calculator?

A RMR Calculator is a tool used to calculate an individual’s Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR). RMR is the amount of energy (calories) the body needs to function at rest. Knowing an individual’s RMR can help them better understand their overall energy needs and make more informed decisions about their diet and exercise routine.

How to Calculate RMR?

To calculate your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR), you will need to use the Harris-Benedict equation. This equation takes into account your age, gender, height, and weight to calculate your RMR. For men: RMR = 66.5 + (13.75 x weight in kg) + (5.003 x height in cm) – (6.755 x age in years) For women: RMR = 655.1 + (9.563 x weight in kg) + (1.850 x height in cm) – (4.676 x age in years)
