For moderately active individuals, multiply the EER by 1.55. For very active individuals, multiply the EER by 1.725. For example, if you are a 30-year-old male, who is 170 cm tall and weighs 70 kg, and you are moderately active, your EER would be calculated as follows: EER = (10 x 70) + (6.25 x 170) – (5 x 30) + 5 = 2,085 kcal/day Adjusted EER = 2,085 x 1.55 = 3,223 kcal/day
